The first professional female Hindi-film (Bollywood) team in Boston has been established and is performing all over the place! Nazar is a professional Bollywood dance team created to promote the rich cultural heritage of South Asia within the greater Boston area. Founded in Spring 2011, Nazar debuted at India Day in August 2011 and since then has performed at multiple events, including dance competitions, non-profit galas, weddings, cultural shows, corporate events and so on.

At Nazar, we believe dance is so much more than movement. Having derived our name from the Urdu word for “gaze of the eyes”, we place a strong emphasis on expression and passion in every performance. Each one of our dancers comes with a solid dance foundation, whether in Ballet, Bharatnatyam or Hip Hop. And despite our varied backgrounds, at Nazar, we come together as a strong, cohesive group committed to burning up every stage we perform on.
